Veronica Fabian (she/her) is excited to be graduating from the program this December 2023. Although she graduated with a Bachelors of Business Administration, she found her passion through her time working as an out-of-school time director for a low-income K-6th campus, predominantly serving Latine students and families through academic and enrichment programs. Through this time she saw first hand the injustices that students and families of color face in the public education system which was the catalyst for joining the SJHR program. Through this class, she hopes to dive deeper into how immigrant students and families experience education in the US and how to be an advocate for quality education for all. Outside of her career as an associate for an education nonprofit and is actively engaged in organizations which combine social justice and education in her community.
