Jennifer Ramirez (They/Them) originally from California, is a first-generation student with immigrant, Spanish-speaking Mexican parents. In 2021, they earned a Bachelor of Science in Family and Human Development from Arizona State University. Jennifer is passionate about studying immigration from various perspectives (global, United States focused, lived experiences of immigrants) and the issue of family separation at the U.S.-Mexico border. They plan to become an immigration lawyer. They firmly believe that language plays a crucial role in ensuring equity and access to rights, which is why Jennifer currently works as a Spanish linguist.
