Haley Holz (She/Her) graduated from the University of Wisconsin- Milwaukee with a Criminal Justice and Psychology degree. Haley has a passion for immigration issues in the United States, specifically with those in the DACA program that has affected many important people in her life. At ASU’s SJHR MA program, she has focused most of her research on the limitations that the DACA program has imposed on its recipients, specifically in regards to a pathway to citizenship and access to higher education. She feels that there is not enough research on the impact of programs aimed at asylum/citizenship seeking and that this is a crucial part to changing today’s immigration policies. Haley plans to pursue her PhD in immigration studies and political science after the completion of her graduate program to further research experience needed to start a career of immigration policy.
