How is immigration policy and/or (im)migrant represented or framed in the news coverage of education? This project explores the contentious (dis)connections between education politics and immigration politics. Long run, I (Allan) plan to contrast education coverage to other areas of immigration coverage, such as sanctuary, enforcement, healthcare, etc. However there is so much to unpack on the topic of education and so many partners to align this research with on the ground, including my friends at The President’s Alliance and in immigrant rights orgs working on in-state tuition and local dream acts.
