Andrew Gonzales (he/him) graduated Summa Cum Laude from Grand Canyon University with a Bachelor of Arts in Government with an emphasis in State and Local Public Policy. Because of his research during undergrad, Andrew enjoys taking a deeper dive into active policies and seeing how they are being implemented in local government structures as well as how they impact low-income communities that are predominantly people of color. Andrew was born and raised in San Antonio, TX, and is familiar with how the media and politicians often misrepresent migration across the U.S.-Mexico border as a “crisis”. Although he does not currently work in a field related to his area of study, Andrew has found a passion in advocating for those that are not granted the same opportunities as others.
